Between choreography, performance and total hybridity, “homesickness” is a solo chronicling the personal live of stranger in a strange world. I am surrounded by monsters who are watching me. On stage, one performer brings absurd, disturbing and messy images to life, brutally handling heterogeneous materials (…), starting from an intuitive body.
I am using deformation of the body, explosion of the voice and language, as well as unexpected appearances of objects in order to create a twisted, dreamlike world. I am trying to deconstruct and dismantle the shape of things. By dissolving the perceptible, I attempt to reveal a new aspect of the tangible. I excavate the invisible within the body in order to grasp the cruelty underneath.
My approach is to overcome a hermetic intimacy because my body embodies buried images.
My artistic language meanders between figurative and abstract. It houses an omnipresent monstrosity, which allows me to reveal the shadows of strange creatures. With the modification of the voice and exploration of deformed physicality, I am continually looking to create a carnal impression on the people watching me and to provoke unexpected reactions inside them.
Capturing the raw reality of a creature far above me, I expose its most pathetic aspect. I enjoy destroying, making mistakes and abolishing brutally. This is an instinctive desire.
Hybrid beings and grotesque figures proliferate in my body. In this environment, I explore the infinite abyss of untamable toxicity. Listen. I am inhabited by those monsters, they contaminate me, are constantly beside me and inside me.
I wish to redefine and be as close as possible to what is real and what is fictional.
I invite you into a story that is exciting as hell.
