WAVING – an oceanic choral dance, is a participative choreographic creation by INUI _ Laurie Peschier-Pimont & Lauriane Houbey, bringing together, on stage, 6 professional dancers and a group of 50 to 100 amateur dancers in order to form a chorus in movement and to initiate both sound and choreographic waves.
Mass choral dance, Waving draws its resources from oceanic fantasy, both sensitive and impetuous, in order to bring out « mandscape », landscape in movement within the space of the theatre.
The wave is the pattern orchestrating all the variations of movement and all the vocal compositions. Its dynamic encourages a dialogue between dancer and spectator, as ocean and shore.
Forming great human waves favourable to the uplift of body and fantasy, fleeting surfer appearances, Waving questions dancing in chorus as a political form of joy.
